Burnous « toudou »

Lors d’une virée chez Mondial Tissus pour trouver du tissu d’ameublement (que je n’ai pas trouvé, bien entendu), miss Loulette a craqué pour un tissu « toudou, toudou ». J’ai tout de suite imaginé une sortie de bain pour remplacer la précédente bien trop petite maintenant.

When we went shopping for upholstery (which I of course did not find), Miss Loulette fell in love with a « so soft, so soft » fabric. I immediately imagined a poncho she would wear on top of her PJs after her bath to replace the one she previously had.

Je suis partie sur le modèle « Burnous de bain » du livre « Les intemporels pour Enfants«  d’Astrid Le Provost.

I chose the pattern « Burnous de bain » from the book  » Les intemporels pour Enfants » by Astrid Le Provost.

Comme mon tissu peluche énormément, je l’ai entièrement surjeté. Autre modification, j’ai supprimé la capuche car je savais qu’elle ne serait pas mise. Forcément, il ne pleut pas dans la maison, et les capuches, c’est pour la pluie, comme tout le monde sait !.

To hold my fabric, I completely serged it. Other modification I made : I did not sew the  hood as I knew it would not be worn. As everyone knows, hoods are for the rain and it does not rain in a house 😉 !  

Aussitôt terminé, aussitôt adopté. Même Loulou en a réclamé un en précisant bien : « enfin, en tissu toudou mais à ma taille et sans les hiboux roses et violets, hein maman » ;-).

It was adopted as soon as it was finished. Even Loulou asked for his own but « with a « so soft » fabric but in his size and without the pink and purple owls, hein Mom » 😉 !
